Bulletin - The Third Sunday of Lent

Practice your stewardship during the time of Mass suspension:

As many around the world struggle with the Coronavirus, St. John of the Woods Parish has not been immune to the effects caused by these recent events. Yesterday’s directive from Archbishop Etienne to suspended all Masses was an important step in helping slow the spread of the virus. This decision was not taken lightly. It was made out of concern for the common good and care of the vulnerable in our community. This important step will seriously impact in our weekly collection. Like most parishes, 90% of our revenue comes from the generous support of our faith community. This generosity supports the basic operations (utilities, maintenance, and supplies etc.) and ministries of our parish.

This is a good time to remind you that we have several options available for giving electronically in a safe and secure way. Online giving can be customized by you. The frequency of how you want to give (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) and the type of gift (debit, credit, bank account, EFT etc.) is up to you. Please visit our website at  for instructions on how to quickly set up an Online giving account or call the parish office. If you don’t wish to give online, please remember to mail in your weekly stewardship gift. We thank you for your continued support of our parish.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion (recommended during communion time when watching online Mass)

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most holy Eucharist. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

Let us join hands and walk together through this challenging time with faith and unity
