From Our Pastor

Happy Easter to you! May the Resurrection of Christ, who was raised from the Dead, continue to be present with you and send His blessings upon you and your family, as He had said to us after His Resurrection, “Peace be with you.” We thank our parish’s volunteers who spent time to clean up the parish’s grounds, mowed the parish’s field and worked on the landscape to make our parish’s grounds look beautiful and welcoming to all those who come to our holy place to worship God, who loves and heals us from all sadness and sorrow and replaces them with joy and happiness

We had a blessed Easter Sunday celebration, and we welcomed all new members to our Faith Community! It was a blessed and joyful Triduum celebration for our parishes, which was one big celebration consisting of three days celebrating the Paschal Mystery of Christ. We thank all Ministers and volunteers in different committees who prepared and assisted us with all different tasks during our Triduum celebration. We also thank them for their support on Easter Sunday as we welcomed many people who have come back after a long period of being away from our parishes, because of the pandemic.

Stewardship of Time and Talent

At St. John of the Woods Parish, there are many ways God wants you to use your unique role in the body of Christ to glorify Him. Generously sharing your God-given gifts helps you to encounter Jesus more deeply, and committing (or recommitting) to a ministry helps to proclaim the gospel message regularly.

You are invited to prayerfully consider a ministry to which you feel called, list some of the gifts/skills/passions that you would be willing to share with our parish, and fill out the Ministry Commitment Form below.

As we encourage you to take this next step in your faith journey, we also want to thank you for the ways your gifts are already supporting the mission of St. John of the Woods Parish.
